Just one comment on Rabbi Edelstein’s perceptive words: Cincinnati, unlike Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta, can in no way be seen as having been built as a result of the teshuva movement. The proportion of first- and second- generation baalei teshuva there has always been, and remains, far lower than those other cities. The growth of a Torah community there can be ascribed to great, dedicated rabbonim, and in the last quarter century, to the success of its community kollel making a huge impact and attracting young, already frum families to an improved job market- something Cincinnati certainly has in common… Read more »
