I agree with this seldom-seen critique of the “Judaism is Fun” approach to baalei teshuva. To returnees with a spiritual thirst, it’s shallow and almost insulting. And it doesn’t lead anywhere. I would have been happy to receive ten hours of Torah study & three of Aramaic!
